Welcome! Make an Impact in 2024!
Morgan is a licensed clinical social worker in the states of Maine and New Hampshire who currently works at a public high school in Southern Maine. She has worked in the field of experiential education for 20 years and in adventure therapy for 13.
Her passion for this field was ignited by camp counselors and teachers who introduced her to adventure based activities opening the door to the endless possibilities of learning beyond the traditional classroom. As a middle school student and teenager, she had the unique opportunity to take part in adventure and challenge course outings where she experienced the magic of the outdoors and connecting to others in a group.
She went on to study at the University of New Hampshire in the Outdoor Education program to be able to provide meaningful experiences for youth. She paired this with a Masters of Social Work degree to provide adventure therapy and has a Certificate in Clinical Adventure Therapy (CCAT) in coordination with the Association of Experiential Education (AEE). She was a member and Chair of the Leadership Council of the Therapeutic Adventure Professional Group (TAPG a professional group of AEE). *Learn more here about AEE, TAPG, and CCAT*
Outside of work Morgan has many other passions (maybe too many!) the main being her black labs Mazi and Koda (as well as other family dogs). On any given day she spends time outside paddle boarding on lakes or rivers, biking, hiking, or relaxing in her hammock. When she's not adventuring outdoors she may be knitting, making kombucha, or running dogs in agility. Organized sports hold a special place in her heart and she coaches girls soccer and indoor/outdoor track specializing in the throwing events.
